Opening of an expanded and modernised Communal Waste Treatment Plant in Puławy

A ceremonial opening of the expanded and modernised Communal Waste Treatment Plant in Puławy took place on 30 September 2014. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Investor - Zakład Usług Komunalnych Spółka z o.o. in Puławy, the Contractor, representatives of the Provincial Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund in Lublin and the President of Puławy.

Within the scope of this project Mostostal Puławy as the General Contractor was responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Expansion of the waste segregation hall together with the construction of a complete waste segregation line.
  2. Construction of waste storage booths.
  3. Construction of a drive-on scale.
  4. Construction of a vehicle wheel wash.
  5. Construction of a composting facility together with a complete composting process system.
  6. Construction of a new waste storage basin.
  7. Construction of amenities’ building with an admin section.
  8. Construction of rainwater and process drainage as well as a sewage system together with rainwater and process water tanks.
  9. Construction of electrical, MCIA, fire, anti-burglar and CCTV systems.
  10. Construction of stabilised compost storage yards.
  11. Construction of access roads and car parks.

The overall gross project value stood at 47.4 million zł. The European Union's Cohesion Fund co-financing for the undertaking amounted to 28.9 million zł.
