Not many Polish general contractors can boast a jubilee such as this. We celebrated 50 golden years of tradition during the jubilee ceremony which was held on 6 and 7 September 2014. Over the 50 years our company saw a great number of people come and go. Each and every one of them contributed to the emergence of the Mostostal Puławy brand, both in Poland and abroad.
On Saturday the 6th of September 2014, a ceremonial concelebrated mass given by Bp Mieczysław Cisło initiated the two day Golden Jubilee celebrations for Mostostal Puławy S.A.
During the celebrations on 6 September, the Treasury Minister, on behalf of the President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski awarded state decorations to Mostostal Puławy S.A. employees and retired employees. The President, Tadeusz Rybak, was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. 11 Medals for Long Service were awarded, 7 honorary “Accomplishments in the Energy Sector” distinctions presented by Minister Janusz Piechociński and 10 honorary “Service to the Construction Industry” awards presented by Elżbieta Bieńkowska.
During the official part Lubelskie Province Local Authority awards, Mayor of Puławy and Town Council Chairman medals as well as a commemorative gold 50 years of Mostostal medal were also presented. The Mayor of the provincial capital, Krzysztof Żuk, awarded the Mayor of Lublin medal to our company. The Management Board of Mostostal Puławy S.A. presented “Certificates of Appreciation” to our Partners.
Additionally, the rank of the ceremony was raised even further by magnificent guests from the Sporting World, who added splendour to the event, such as Irena Szewińska, Wojciech Walkiewicz, Krzysztof Baranowski and Janusz Pożak. The Vice President of PKOI, Irena Szewińska, presented the President, Tadeusz Rybak with a Gold medal for services to the Polish Olympic Movement.
More than 50 congratulatory letters were received by the management board and there was no end to gratitude and emotional moments during the ceremonial banquet. Toasts and good wishes accompanied the company as it entered its second half-century in business.
„Budka Suflera”, who started their carrier in 1974, added splendour to the Jubilee with an amazing concert. Mostostal Puławy S.A. thanked the artists who were also celebrating their jubilee with a birthday cake.
On 7 September (Sunday) Mostostal staff and their families met for the company’s 50th birthday. Employees and their families together with invited guests gathered at the Janowiec Castle. Splendour was added to the family celebrations of the company’s 50 years on the market by performances by „Grześ”, „Powiśle” and Alicja Bil Traciłowska. Andrzej Rosiewicz with a ballet took all present on a sentimental journey, composing “Mostostal Samba” just for this occasion. 
Tomasz Mazur together with a band snatched the audience into the realms of film music. Patrycja Kazadi appeared at 8:30 p.m. on the stage and swept the guests straight into the sounds of musical hits and her own songs. At the end a jubilee film was screened. The family 50 year celebrations were crowned off with a firework display. Throughout the day mouth watering grilled snacks were available for Mostostal staff and their families as well as an entertainment park for youngsters.
The extensive experience and care for top quality services has been conducive to good relations with investors, business partners, organisations and media. The most important events of the past half a century of our company’s market presence are undoubtedly the hundreds of completed investments and converting the enterprise into a joint stock company, establishing a technical office in Germany, expansion of the Steel Construction Plant as well as the acquisition of Mezap and Energezap. New challenges and contracts await us. In the coming years we will focus of growth through new technologies, cooperation with international corporations as well as improving the skills of our employees as well as further improvements to quality and efficiency. One may be so bold as to say that the best is yet to come for Mostostal Puławy S.A.
