The 55th Colonel W F Skopenko International Cycle Race of Polish-Ukrainian Friendship

On Friday June 3rd 2011 and Saturday June 4th 2011 in Puławy cyclists competed in the 55th Colonel W F Skopenko International Cycle Race of Polish-Ukrainian Friendship.

Their efforts started already on Tuesday in Ukraine, and 103 competitors from 23 teams joined the first stage, going around Ternopil. At the start we could see cyclists, among others, from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Poland. On Wednesday, the second phase took place from Ternopil to Lutsk. On Thursday, the competition moved to Poland, and the cyclists raced across the areas the poviat of Tomaszów. Before noon, the third stage took place (individual time trial over a distance of 18 km) in Tomaszów Lubelski, while in the afternoon the cyclists competed at the fourth stage, which started and finished in Tomaszów Lubelski (123.5 km), as well. The fifth stage (170 km) began on Friday at 2:00 pm at the Great Market Square in Zamość, and it was finished in Puławy, at about 6:40 pm. The race ended with the Saturday's sixth stage: criterium held in Puławy.
